New Jaguar owner

Featured Replies

Hi I am a new member. My first ever Jaguar, 2016 XF Portfolio 2 litre diesel, I picked it up yesterday. I have 2 questions to ask the forum.

First, there is no service book. The dealer said Jaguars do not have service books, is this correct ? I know that it has been serviced because the dealer emailed me . pdf proof of Jaguar online service history.

The second question is, there is no ashtray, is the a optional extra available which I can have fitted?

Regards Mick

Third question, how do you open the boot from inside the car.

The XF Quick Start guide on page 3 says

I can not find this button, can someone please give me a glue where I can find this button. I have looked and looked and looked but can't find it.

The Owners hanbook on page 67 says

Provided the vehicle is not locked, the luggage compartment can also be opened using either the interior release button (7).

The same button.

Question 3 sorted, I have found the boot open button just in front of my right knee. Nothing like what is discribed in the manuals.
