XF 3.0d auto rattle when driving

Hi hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have a jag xf 3.0d auto portfolio s on an 09 plate. It has developed a rattle when driving that speeds up and slows down as the car does and quietens on acceleration. Any ideas? I have had it looked at and nothing if fouling the prop shaft. I was advised to speak to a jag gearbox specialist and he said that he has never heard of an auto box rattling as described. It’s not the engine as far as I know as the rattle doesn’t happen in neutral. Any help would be appreciated thanks
