I’m looking for a V12 FHC from an enthusiast, I’m fed up with dealers who know nothing about the history of the cars they’re selling as well as all the patter, word like ‘covered’ and “benefits from“   “finished in” are doing my head in! 
I’m after a non immaculate driver, I don’t mind a bit of spannering but don’t want a massive project, a tatty usable manual coupe somewhere around Hampshire would be brilliant .

Anyone out there know anyone who might have such a thing and be willing to part with it? I’m polite, well mannered and won’t waste your time.

Hi Owen, have you looked on the JEC Classifieds website? There is currently a V12 S3 Coupe for sale there at a very reasonable price - for an E-type. The link below should take you there. Incidentally, there are a total of 8 E-types for sale on the JEC site, ranging in price across the spectrum - but all should be ex enthusiasts' cars.
