Hello. I am trying to find out if there is an updated disc available for my 2004 XKR which has the alpine system.

I seem to be only able to find updates for the 2006 model onwards.

I had problems with my system and ended up getting a new boot unit and and a replacement disc.

This disc is in no way up to date and originally i had an analogue clock display when the sat nav was not in use but now I have apicture of a jaguar with a very small digital clock in the corner.

I would be grateful for any suggestions

Many Thanks

Graeme

Wrong forum mate, this is for X types. However if it's the same system you can get updated discs on line up to 2012 spec. but beware some people have had issues with the aftermarket discs causing issues with the system.

Definitely wrong forum.

However it's a question I've been meaning to ask

I have a 2006 X-type and have  2009 & 2012 sat nav disks from other vehicles (both genuine Jaguar) . Have tried them both and they just sit there for ages saying "updating...."
Am I risking breaking what little sat nav I have or am I being impatient? Has anyone tried updating the software and is there anything I need to know before I break things.

Would be nice if it knew where I lived but if it can't be done I'm happy to live with it.
