IDS 1.31 ECM communication issue

Hello There,

I am a new and proud owner of a 2002 S-TYPE R .

To maintain it I purchased an IDS SDD kit  from tools4car. It is running from windows XP laptop.

I can read almost all of the ECUs except the ECM and the rear sensors ECU. 

To be able to solve the ECM reading I have to go the configuration menu then select configure existing module then select Engine management then when asked for file K16_s42pm.bin  I cancel the process (I didn't try to downlod this file).

Only after all that the communication with ECM is back.

Does anyone have an idea of what is going on ?
