Fuel problem?? & Where are these located?

Featured Replies

I have a 2005 S-type 2.7D

can anyone tell me where these items are located.

Fuel filter (diesel) and do you need a fuel line release tool and if so what size. where to buy?? tool & filter

OBD socket.

Also recently (after car was not used for 3 weeks) the engine waning lamp came on and the car went into limp home mode.

symptoms are:-

1)

Engine warning light on

ASC light on

limp home mode.

After key restart

2) system seemed to reset

after 6-10 miles

3) Same as 1

4) key re-start (turned over several times before starting)

Engine light on, car drove, but down on power and engine surges on acceleration (fuel starvation??)

I was also wondering what fuel consumption is average for a 2005 2.7D

Regards

stan

[1] fuel filter passenger side rear corner of engine bay, 4 black plastic pipes coming out of it, just squeeze the pipe couplings and they detach like a garden hoselock, no pressure there. filter secured by clamp with small release screw on nearside. obd socket just above your knees when sitting in drivers seat.electrical problems could originate from a low charged battery after standing for three weeks.
