I own2002 S-Type R with 112000km.

Six months ago after washing the car in high pressure the indication DSC NOT AVAILABLE-PARK BRAKE FAULT appeared leaving the car stunned for about an hour (not able to move with more than 15m km ph).The engine malfunction lamp went on and reading the code we found there was a communication error with the abs unit.Supposing that was a humidity issue we removed all four abs sensors from the wheels, cleaned them thoroyghly and place them back.Unfortunately the problem remains after every car wash even without high water pressure and after an hour it recovers without doing anything and without keeping the engine malfunction lamp on.There is no problem in driving under heavy rain only in washing.Any ideas?

Thanks

Sound like water getting in to a connector maybe. I had a similar problem and discovered a hairline crack in one of the abs sensors.

Hi there - I've just seen your post which sounds vaguely similar to mine (which I posted yesterday).  Did you get your problem resolved?  The dealership I used also found that a clip on the ABS module wasn't secured properly which they resolved, but it hasn't fixed my fault. Any knowledge much appreciated!
