Terraclean

Hi all

Anyone here used terra-clean on the diesel x type and have good reviews, thinking of get the service just wondered if its worth doing

HI  Burl,

I had a look at this a couple of months ago, reviewed their website and it  looks pretty impressive, especially if the results are as good as they say.  I filled out the enquiry form and had a respone back the next day.  The email dialogue was swift and comprehensive the only thing I found lackng was the before and after testing as seen on the video.

They provide a mobile service which can be at your home or work address, they just need a small amount of workspace around the car and an electrical outlet for their compressor.

I haven't yet decided to take the plunge but as my S-Type has just sailed through it's MOT, I may wait a little longer.

Keep us informed of how you get on.

Best regards,

Dave

Had service done Friday, straight away noticed a much quieter engine, been out driving over e weekend averaging 38 mpg urban driving, was averaging 34 mpg previous, and also have a better acceleration response , feels like my X Type has a lot more power .

Would recommend

Will do, I'll try and book for this week.

Well I have to say that having recently paid £90 to have my X-Type 2.0d Terraclean-ed (if that's a word) I am very happy with the results.

My reason for having this done were twofold;

1. black smoke on acceleration - all but gone, still al slight amount but nothing like it was

2. Slight hesitation whilst cruising, ranging from almost unnoticeable to quite violent, no loss of power though - this has gone completely. This alone was worth the £90.

Terraclean claims; improved mpg and pickup on acceleration.

1. improved mpg - jury still out but it appears to have improved a little. Only done about 150 miles, need at least a months driving to be sure.

2. Improved pickup - again jury still out, I "think" I feel a smoother acceleration but this could be psychosomatic. Not sure if I will ever know as I had no data on acceleration just prior to the cleaning process.

That's all Folks

Wow, that's a nice improvement. My current average is the same 36 - 38mpg, I look forward to that kind of improvement.
