So my x type has the touch screen in it and while I think it's the best looking system in the x type I'm sick of the poor Bluetooth system, the poor radio reception, and frankly prehistoric sat nav system. I'm looking to rip that out and put in a double din (I know about depth issues) But what I'm trying to find out is what you do about the climate control..... can I just buy that unit from a xtype without the sat nav and fit? All tyres come with a energy rating style thing now, it tells you, wet grip performance, fuel economy and also the noise rating, so it makes choosing tyres much simpler. Currently I have khumo's on mine which are b rated for fuel economy and a rated for wet grip, a being the best and f the worst, think the were £70 a corner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have also used the meguires kit on a previous car and it worked perfect, bringing my cloudy lenses up like new. Its available in halyards for £20. I will be buying the kit this weekend to tackle the x-type

haha Joe, i never noticed that lol i certainly did not pay that! Also noticed that near the front left of the engine bay, infront of the engine, behind the radiator there seems to be a blue aftermarket silicon hose? any ideas? Thanks

Hi guys/gals Just bought myself a 2005 X-Type Estate Sport 2.0 Diesel. Came from a long line of Japanese and german cars but needed something with a bit more room as i will be starting a family soon. Car seems to be relatively hi spec with the carbon dash and sat nav with black leather, lovely big thing. Notice though the glow plug light flashing with reduced power but no engine management light on, thankfully i bought the car from a garage who is going to fix for me i hope Thanks Steven
