What oil should I use in my 2001 3l stype just as a top up. Not a full oil change

Oh my god Ive bought an s type. One month later and the drivers window has stopped working. The abs has stopped the stability control has packed in.the petrol cap wont shut and now Ive discovered the cigar lighter is dead. Last week the drivers door locked and would not open for about a week and then suddenly just opened again....no idea why. I thought bmws were a pain.?? Still nice car to drive. Better get busy
