  1. Thanks for taking the time to post - but I have the finisher caps.It is those that now hang low into the access point since I removed them by gently prising out with a thin screwdriver from the front end recess, opposite the mounting lug.I had assumed from your earlier posting that there were spacers or similar below,to keep them up in the hole to sit flush with the rail; if not, then I can't figure out what kept them flush originally, as nothing has broken off, yet they just hang low at the front of the access hole. Frankly, for a "premium" car, these bits of tiny plastic are garbage--even in pre-history,on my early 90s Astras/Corsas, there was a sprung metal slide which slid back in the rail to reveal the mounting points, then sprung back up afterwards....................
  2. Hi,I realise this is almost one year old now. However,I went investigating what these mounting points look like- put a fine screwdriver into the slot in the finisher which appears to beg for it (needless to say there is NOTHING in the handbook) and the finisher promptly dropped downward and ended up as described in the firsr post by the OP. So now, I have a finisher cap, but it just drops down inside the rail if I try to replace it.There is nothing below it, between the rail line and the top of the bolt hole (which is still full of original silicone gunk). What do I need, what does it look like please? Any help gratefully received.......
