Looks like the compressor for the Aircon has failed, Rattle from the belt drive on it and blowing the fuse. dose anyone out there know the part number so I can try to get the right one second hand of ebay (can't afford a new one) so that my garage has one to fit when they take the old one off.

I have had a couple of 'Low Coolant Level' warnings since I got the car. the first was on a long journey south down the A1 which went out after a few mins. can't remember the circumstances of the other. However when I removed the coolant filler cap I found it was full to the brim. could this have triggered a false reading? Should I remove some of the coolant to bring the level down to as it appears to be over filled?

Job done, straight swap all works well.

I know the previous posts are a bit old, but the links don't work any more. is there anywhere else to get them?

Just been looking on line and can't find a Haynes Book Of Lies for the 2.5 Sport. Is there a workshop manual that covers my car?

Have worked out that there is a problem with either the park assist module or the sensors, so I have decided to remove the original Jag kit and replace it wit an aftermarket kit and do the front as well (which hasn't got any). I know it won't be as smart looking however it will be a lot cheaper. My question is, Where is the best place to get the wires for the front sensors through the bulkhead into the main compartment of the car? here dose the wire loom come through?

I will just have to give it a try and see, I have found a local independent Jag Specialist who might be able to do it.

Hi All, I have noticed that the plastic strip with 'JAGUAR' on it that sits just below the spoiler on the boot lid is coming unstuck. What is the best way to remove it completely without damage? How to remove the sticky adhesive strip and clean up the boot lid for re application? What is the best thing to re fix it with? and where do I get it from?

Sounds like to much hassle and expense, and the wife probably won't use it as it is her car. I think I will lay this one to rest.......

??????? Should my car have any of this already? With the later option, what is the BT socket in the center consul for? I have seen plenty of the BT Modules on ebay

Am I right to think this is the socket for the BT module under the center consul storage box (between the two front seats)

OK, so what do I need to do to get the Bluetooth working?

Below is a image of a screen shot that a jag dealer sent me with info on my car. I says 'Bluetooth Interface PHONE PRE-WIRE' what dose this mean? Dose it have Bluetooth or do I need to get the BT module?

As a second question, dose anyone out there have a spare EBC Module that I try exchanging to see if one with a different 2 final letters will work?

Hi Folks, I need to replace the Electronic Brake Control Module on a 2005 S type. I have looked online on ebay and found a couple however the last 2 letters of the P/N are different. Is this relevant or do the last 2 letters not matter. the original part number is 4R83-2C496-BD.(as shown in the photograph)

Hi Again All, I know where to find the VIN, The problem for me is that the car is 280 miles away.........

How can I find out what what the original spec of a car is with only the Reg number? The reason I ask is that my insurance company shows the car as being a Sport 200, however it as first registered in late Sept 2004 which as I understand makes it too late to be a Sport 200. at the moment I don't have easy access to the VIN. Obviously Iit may make a difference to the insurance quote.

As I said in my previous thread. I soon will be taking ownership of an S type. One issue I have to deal with is that in the past someone spilt some brake fluid on the wing and it needs respraying. as it has bubbled and blistered. can some one give me an Idea as to how much I should expect to pay for the front wing to be resprayed. And any recommendations in the Huntingdon/St Neots/St Ives area.

I will soon be taking ownership of a 54 plate S Type Sport 200 from my farther, however it has one problem that I know about. The light for the coolant level keeps coming on although I know that it has enough coolant in it. I guess that it is the sensor that is faulty, so my questions are:- 1 - Where is the sensor and how easy to replace? 2 - How much are the sensors and can you get them anywhere else other than your local Jag dealer? I know that his service agent has tried cleaning the contacts etc. I know that I am just guessing it is the sensor, but most problems seam to be down to sensor failure these days. However if you have any other ideas I am open to suggestions. Andy C.
