  1. I found it (or, really my mechanic did). It is on the right hand side of the engine, viewed from below, just above the exhaust, and next to the oil filter, on the engine web. So easy to see after you know where it is.... Thank you for suggestions.

  3. Thanks, Carole, but I know what the engine number is supposed to be, but it needs to be verified by the mechanic who is doing an inspection for registration purposes.
  4. I am new to the forum, but am having trouble getting a few things fixed. I need to find my Engine number and having difficulties. The car is a 2007, 2.1L petrol X-Type Jag, Right Hand Drive, and there seem to be lots of suggestions as to where to find the number. Are any visible to the naked eye? Any suggestions please. Bill
