  2. Good call Jon I’d forgotten to check this, I think I will give it a sniff of engine start or something just to see if it fires ! If some I will get some fresh petrol as you have suggested however, I’m still thinking fuel pump/immobilzer issue at this point. Thanks for you reply in case cheers adder
  3. Hello an happy new year folks, I was looking for a little advice regarding and old s type of an old friend and neighbour who passed away a couple of years ago now. Owing to the house now being sold his son has asked me if I can get the cat started . After fitting a new battery the engine spins very easily but will not fire ? I can’t hear the fuel pump pressure up so I’m suspecting an immobilzer fault the dash is saying there is an engine fault but I’m suspecting low fuel pressure . There about a quarter of a tank showing on the fuel gauge. I guess my question is because the the battery has been flat for a couple of years now, is it possible for the engine immobilzer to have lost its code some how ? Finally the is a 3.0 petrol on T reg . Thank you in advance for any advice i cheers adder
