Thanks for the advice guys. Unfortunately my model doesn’t have the manual key slot above the number plate. However I managed to attach a set of jump leads to the positive terminal in the bonnet and that sent enough power to the boot release button to allow it to open.

Hi guys, I was in the process of changing the battery and had the old battery disconnected and boot lid shut on me and now with no power to the boot release button I can’t get the boot lid open again. I don’t have the back seat drop down option in my model so no way of getting into the boot. Any help would be great.
