  1. Apologies, I had a 2016 Jaguar XF R Sport, 2.0d. Its engine ate itself and I've been without a Jag until last week, when I invested in a 2014 Jaguar XF Sportbrake, 2.2d. Which is why my information request was for the latter, not the former. And, I've been going through the correct fuse diagrams for my model of car, to no avail. None of the functions that have been lost appear accountable by a fuse, however I will check the fuse boards for corrosion before I invest in new components.
  2. Hi, Thank you for the reply. I trawled through the fusebox documents, for all of them, and really couldn't find a specific fuse for either the rear window wiper or the parking sensors. I was thinking the loom could have a crack or something, but other features, such as the button press open and close function are working fine. If anyone can direct me to the correct location for the relevant relay/fuse I would be grateful, perhaps it is due to the relative scarcity of the Sportbrake model, but there doesn't appear to be any specific diagrams of the fuses for same, in case there are some differences.
  3. Hi, I've bought a 2013 Jag XF Sportbrake, but it needs a few repairs to make it perfect. I need to replace the rear wiper motor, and I need to figure out why the rear parking sensors refuse to work. Any advice, or part numbers for the motor? I was hoping, given the provenance of the car, that a more common estate car rear wiper motor might do the trick.
  4. More woes 😞 Injector failure a couple of months ago cost me about €300. Failure of two more is costing me somewhere in the region of €3000, as the turbo had to be reconditioned, a replacement DPF found and the engine rebuilt. The injector failure also resulted in carbon monoxide in the cabin which nearly killed my wife and I on the road Oh, and the CD player still doesn't work!
  5. Thanks for that, but I'm pretty sure that is only applicable once the car software is first updated by the dealer. Nevertheless, I'll give it a try later on. At present, whenever I try to request an update via WiFi I'm told the car is up to date, which it is not
  6. I've the Touch pro system and the necessary ports in the central cubby, but my dealer is refusing to update the software for me, says there's no recall for it so they aren't obligated to do it. Any advice on how I might get it done, can it be done at home?
  7. My mechanic just fixed one of mine, said it was a copper washer, part cost €10, install cost €240! Didn't seem like a big job, tbh
  8. Ah, yes. In the end it was cheaper and quicker to just take care of it myself. The seller was going to fight it and it was going to cost me money to do that. So, it worked out around €700 to buy the part from a breakers and have it fitted. So I didn't go to the courts or the regulator, to be honest I have a lot of things going on over the past year and just didn't have the mental space to fight over it. And, with the CD player, it is a comparatively minor thing but it is damn irritating
  9. Just as an update to this, the seller was of no use to me at all. I ended up replacing the catalytic converter myself, so that was expensive but had to be done. The CD player remains out of commission and it is quite annoying. When I press the eject button, the screen simply informs me that there isn't a disc inserted, so the power is getting to it. I imagine the sensor/switch that detects the disc and loads/unloads it from the mechanism isn't working. Hoping still there might be a fix that doesn't involve a trip to the dealer or pulling the dashboard out
  10. I can't really engage with the dealer. I've had an issue with damage to the catalytic converter which they claim happened in the six days I've had it, and they won't cover the replacement. As a result I am having it independently checked and then opening a dispute with the regulator against them. The CD player is probably bunched Which is crazy, I own CD players that are 30 years old, which still work!
  11. New XF woe no.2! Just tried the CD player today and it didn't grab the CD, in fact it did nothing all. I might... might have pushed the CD into the slot and there it stayed, pressing eject just gave me a No Disc message on screen. This is the Incontrol touch Pro system. I can't find anything online about the fault, or a fix for that matter Anyone have any ideas? Is there a fuse I should be looking at?
  12. They took care of it, free of charge. Electricals all working as they should and Jo warning lights any more. Thanks for the help.
  13. I just brought home my new 2016 Sf R-Sport and the battery warning is up on the display, as I drove out of the forecourt. A quick search and it seems likely that it either has gone flat thanks to sitting on a variety of forecourts, or I need one or two new (not cheap) batteries. So, can anyone advise me on the most likely culprit in this regard? How long should running the car get rid of the low battery warning, after which it is one (hopefully only one) of the pesky piles? Thanks
  14. Absolutely, I hope to collect her tomorrow and I will throw up some photos then. In the meantime, here are a couple of shots from the dealers website
  15. Hi, I'm just after purchasing my first Jag, a 2016 XF R-Sport, 2.0d 180, should have it on Wednesday. I'm coming off a 2012 BMW 520d M-Sport. It is a lovely car, with the upgraded infotainment system and instrument cluster. Only thing it is missing, that I had hoped for, is the parking cameras, I'll have to find out if there is a way to retrofit the system into the car. Anyway, looking forward to reading through the site and forum, thanks for having me.
