Ref XFS 2018 model, mileage 54,000 MOT advisory "Shock absorbers has light misting of oil Offside Rear (5.3.2.(b) Garage has advised that I should replace both at cost of £1050 parts plus £380 labor plus vat. I'd welcome any suggestions

I'm paying £1200 pa for above on a 2017 XFS diesel, current mileage 53,000 and I only now do about 3-4,000 mls a year, not sure whether or not to continue the guarantee, (I paid £1500 to a main dealer last year to replace the timing belt, which they had to be done at 7 years)

My problem is with a 2017 XFS diesel, all of the sensors light up from time to time intermittently. This is completely random with no pattern at all, usually after ending a 30 to 60 minute journey and starting a new journey after an hour or so the system returns to normal with no sensor warning lighting up, This is happening more and more often (every few days)
