  1. Thanks Big John , it is a great help . I'd actually seen this previously and I've gone through this process and refitted it today .......same issue ....really disappointed cos it was a pain to get out ! So I'm still none the wiser. Thanks John , that does make sense , my sensors seem to be working based on the tests I've done but think I'm going to have to invest in a tester to see what alarms I'm getting cos I've no idea where to go next . Thanks guys
  2. Hi Could anyone throw any light on my 1999 XKR issue ? I keep getting and ABS warning coming up in dash . I've checked all the sensors , one been changed , I've found one not working and cleaned , so think they are now all operating After cleaning / replacing , the warning disappeared and car ran perfectly , for about 1/2 mile each time, then same warning light. At the same time as the warning light , the Speedo stops working and it doesn't change gear properly , so I'm thinking something electrical ?? i don't have a tester to check faults but might get one of anyone can recommend one that's easy for a DIY enthusiast to use ? thanks Paul
  3. The garage is a "Jaguar specialist " and have a fault reader ( not sure what type ) They identified faults initially with the pump and 02 sensors which is why they were changed. Since the change there are no faults now , they may be a specialist but they don't know how what to do . They use a separate company for in-depth advice , with Jaguar trained and certificates engineers , but they are telling them if there's no good in the new 02 sensors , then they won't work . So the garage is now saying they can't do anything more ! It's a bit frustrating !
  4. Thanks Joe , ref got Denso ones from British parts who are very good and said they sell lots of these and no issues , so that makes sense. I think it's something else , like injector or fuel blockage but garage didn't know where to go next as there no faults showing any longer ! Thanks for the input though , appreciated
  5. Hi My 1999 Xkr is in the local garage for the last month due to a running issue. The car has been stored for two years with just monthly start ups to keep engine moving . It idles okay but splutters when accelerater pressed and can't be driven. I changed fuel and fuel filter but it was the same . The garage tried changing spark plugs , found one pump and its loom had burnt out , and 02 sensors needed changing.. All that work and cost and the car is still the same , well up to 2500 revs it's okay , mthen the same. The garage is saying if the Denso sensors don't have gold in them they won't work ! British parts are saying that's nonsense ! Any help appreciated
