I'm confused! The bloke I got the Jag off said the engine was a euro 4 sports diesel, so, does that mean it's a TDCi? How do I find out exactly what engine I've currently got so I can order the right one or was there only one 2.0 diesel used in the saloon type Jags in 2005? Cheers Simon

Hi everyone, I've got a X-Type 2005 2.0 sport diesel which has a few engine problems, i.e. knocking, smoking, trouble starting in a morning and an intermittent injector problem. It's got 218,000 miles on the clock and with all the problems I'm looking at replacing the engine. The rest of the car is in really good condition. Can anyone recommend anywhere to get a replacement engine with injector pump? Fitting it is no problem. Just need to get one delivered. Cheers Simon

Thanks for that. I'll give them a try. My EGR valve was delivered yesterday. The Xtype Parts website looks good but just cause it says a part is in stock doesn't mean it is! Also, if anyone needs to get in touch with them, phone them and speak to them. Don't bother using their contact form, emailing or texting!!!

Hi everyone, Bought a second hand X-Type a month ago and apart from a few engine problems I love it! As Jag owners I'd like to know what experiences people have had with ordering parts from xtypeparts.com (also known as JMS Autos)? I ordered an EGR valve from there and they've taken my money but haven't sent the valve! Can anyone recommend any new and second hand online parts dealers? Cheers Simon
