  1. quite a story, but that's gone, you got it back, enjoy!
  2. out of date map has nothing to do with tcu? and compromising head unit relates to head unit software update... find specialist who updates jag systems for a living. quite often they are mobile.
  3. hi, sorry to read about the problems, but if yuo had to change discs and pads within 6 minths span, considering you work from home...you are being robbed in day light, sorry to say. way you needed all 4 new wheels? tyres i can understand...all those fixes do not fill me with confidence. look for independent jaguar garage and give them car for a full check and then decide what to do. it wil cost you something, but without jag specialists looking at it, it's a guessing game (as it is so far, by the looks of it).
  4. forgt to mention, that i have no issues with insurance either, remap or other cosmetic changes. premium didn't rose up even!
  5. hi there, i would go with proper remap service which can be suited to you needs - performance or economy.
  6. welcome back 😉
  7. it will be easier to paint them? plenty of mobile wheels painters around
  8. welcome to the fold pal
  9. my both kids (5 & 7) love to get to school in a jaag 😄
  10. ah supercharged, my next one, when i found one i want 😉 in white, looks well specced?
  11. i'll say x260, mainly due to x250 issues eliminated (i.e. cracked manifolds) as well as no rusty rear subframe (x260 is alu), when today, x250 is at very high risk of. go for xfs 3.0 v6 diesel (as you know already, 2.0d ingenium is very risky one to own), very reliable and great mpg for what it is. mapped mine to 350bhp/780nm's and i'm getting 50-53mpg on motorway cruise at motorwaty speeds. x260 xfs's are usualy very well specced as well, but need to watch out for thigs you want to have, as with x260 nearly everything came as option 🤨 so don't think it wil definitely have it, same as x250, when nearly everything was as std. good luck and keep us posted.
  12. Check on jlr website what sizes you can buy from them
  13. Needs activating in cars config file (CCF). It can be downloaded/uploaded with Pathfinder, but needs to be edited outside of it as it hasn't got editor same as SDD
  14. maybe there's air lock in te system?
  15. i would say it's there for a reason. your call👍
  16. did you scan it for errors? these are not easy to diagnose, might as simple as wiring, but difficult to track where exactly
  17. good man, petrols are bullet proof comparing to those diesels. now enjoy 😄
  18. !Removed! hell, your fault? an insult if you ask me...yeh i would speak to dealer principal, if they won't even entertain the idea, legal action full on.
  19. if you had tiny rattle at first then the damage was not done then, it was just the beggining of the chain problem. they f it up on replacement as there is no way it got worse after the replacement on it's own. you might be in for long and winded 'battle' with this one. i would go and look for 2nd opinion in good independent jag garage. and wouldnt be driving it either as the result might engine failure.
  20. TP-LINK M7350 4G/LTE Portable WiFi Modem Router
  21. no it doesnt. i've got pro and it's 3g. as mentioned earlier, 4g was implemented from 2018 or 2019 models. 2017 like yours has 3g for sure. and you can't make it 4g - thought about it to just swap module, but it won't work as 4g one has different architecture to 3g module and it simply won't talk to the car
  22. 4g capability in jags came with 2018 if not 2019 models (can't remember). untill then it's 3g only. to overcome this, i bought 4g wifi dongle and connect car to that. yuo can get 5g wigi dongles as well. sim card needs to be data only. i had smarty sim before switching to wifi dongle and worked a treat
  23. oops 😉 haven't seen alarm off procedure myself, would be interesting to see.
  24. howdy, welcome to the fold
  25. hey, i've seen somehwere someone had same issue, but xf if memory serves right. he removed front seat completely to make more space, undid door card screws, popped it all around hen just wiggled door card out. not sure if it's possible on x type, but food for thought. let us know how you get on
