    Hi All, I have a Jaguar XF SV8, 4.2V8 Supercharged, from (2008, production January). I believe it is X250 generation. Could someone please advise if this model has any specific procedure when disconnecting and reconnecting the battery? I have read various posts where owners had catastrophic results after such a procedure Do these cars have any radio code after the battery is disconnected? Thank you for your help 😁

    Hi Graeme, when you replaced a DVD unit in the boot, did you have to program it into the car or is it like plug and play ? I have an XF SV8 model and I think I need to replace the DVD unit in the boot, it doesn't read my maps anymore. The screen says 'unable to read data, check map disc is correct'. I know I have a correct disc. Thanks for help.
