  1. Thanks so much. I’ll put the battery on charge and take it from there. Thanks for the quick reply.
  2. Hello Jaguar fanatics! I’m new to the forum and probably am posting in the wrong place. I recently bought a 1969 XKE Series II 4.2 OTS with factory A/C. The driver who delivered it in an enclosed trailer really did me in. I wasn’t home when it was delivered but my wife, adult son and very car savy neighbor were. I’m told that the delivery driver could not start the car and engaged the starter for over 20 minutes or more before he finally got it started. Obviously he did not use the choke at all. My neighbor got inside the truck and informed him about it and he finally pulled the choke out and the car started right up. Now a few days later, I have a faulty alternator ( not charging) and the starter only clicks, the sound coming from behind the glove box. Would someone kindly tell me the steps to troubleshooting both the starter and the charging system? I would be most grateful! Thanks to everyone in advance and I apologize if my post is in the “wrong place “- I promise I’ll get better at this. Also if anyone knows of a reputable Jaguar XKE repair shop near Myrtle Beach SC that specializes in XKE’s I would greatly appreciate that, too. Again, thanks for bearing with me as I’m new to The Forum.
