  1. Hello Fellow Members; Just hoping someone can throw some light on a strange noise that I have recently heard on my X Type 2.0 petrol. after starting the engine there appears to be a clicking type noise coming from the dash board, near the speedo. It sounds like a clock, only faster. I cant see anything visibly wrong and am paranoid that something is on its way out. Many Thanks Steve.
  2. Hi Dell; Many thanks for your helpful reply, I am not aware if the mirror has been hit, there is no obvious damage, I only noticed it when I was washing the car and the housing moved. It shakes when the door is closed, however, no problems whe the car is driving, not even along the motorway. I think perhaps it would be best to ask a garage to have a look at it. Would you know if the weather strips are available from dealers only? I will have to make enquiries to ascertain how dificult it is change them before deciding whether to try it myself. Regards Steve
  3. Hi Fellow Owners; I have this week purchased my first Jaguar X type which is a 2002 2.0 petrol model with 78k, the car is in fantastic condition for its year. The only problems I have is the housing on the drivers side wing mirror is very loose, and two of th rear window/door rubbers have lumps and bulges. Does anyone know the best way to secure and tighten the mirror housing? Am I able to purchase and replace the window/door rubber seals? Many Thanks Steve
