There are a few ideousincrasies (sp) that go with owning an X Type Diesel.Yea it does have an EGR valve that cruds up,apparrently this is an easy fix,remove clean with petrol and be prepared to get yer hands mucky. When you gave the car some clog and got some power back.............this may be due to the DPF (diesel particulate filter) being bunged up and you have blown some of the carbon out. I am led to believe that you can retrofit handsfree bluetooth to your car......check out e bay,the module on mine is in the boot behind the nearside wing boot carpet J..

Thanks for the reply Earl,I did think about the aux belt tensioner,but again the low miles that I have are throwing me off this theory. D'ya think the tensioner pulley could be on its way at 42000 ?

Can anyone tell me what type/name these wheels have,I'm wanting to replace my spacesaver,and to have my wheels powder coated one at a time.I dont fancy running the car for a month with the spacesaver on whilst I have the wheels done.

I get the same annoying 'clatter' on tickover (approx 800rpm ) If I just tickle the throttle increasing the revs to just under 1000rpm the engine noise is much smoother. With my car being an '09 model with only 42000 miles on the clock,does anyone think a Terraclean would be worthwhile ? ps.......I only use premium diesels.

Just purchased an X Type 2.0S diesel Liquid Silver 2009 model. Love the car and look forward to some banter with you guys in the future ! I dont have any pics yet but will upload some as the sunshine decides to make an appearance ! John.
