  1. Hi Mike ,I had the same problem with my HTC Sensation the phone paired via Bluetooth ok and incoming and outgoing calls were working but you had to dial the number it would not copy over my contact list from the sim card,as Peter said another phone maybe still paired to your system and requires deleting ( instructions in the Hand book ) After the first attempt and after I got over the initial buzz of driving the XF I sat in the drivers seat and read the hand book ( not while the car was moving ) and followed all the phone and Jag instructions ( not a thing I do much is read instructions ) for pairing and hey presto it accepted it and downloaded the phonebook. The first time I tried I had the touch screen live with the Audio but forgot to switch on the ignition and the second time with ignition switched on.Good luck with it as its a handy feature. All the best Alan
  2. Hi Mike and welcome ,I have just purchased a 2009 XF 3.0ltr V6 Diesel engine and love it to bits.It has done 90,000 miles with full Jag history and it drives like a dream. The fuel economy is very good ( much better than my 5 series) and it has plenty of power if required.I have had an XJ6 3.2 in the past and that was a nice drive but the XF has added a bit more of a sporty feel without compromising on ride quality. At the end of the day Mike its a Jag and im sure you will enjoy whatever engine size you get. good luck Alan
  3. Morning Peter ,I had a look at the website last night and as Dave stated it certainly looks good quality.I will give them a try and get the polish out ( when it stops raining ) cheers Alan
  4. Hi Dave , thanks for that I will give them a look. cheers Alan
  5. Afternoon All, I am thinking about adding a bit of body styling to the exterior of my XF using the chrome side vent covers and the chrome door post covers available,i have seen quite a few parts available from different companies and was wondering if any members have used these parts and what company offers a quality product.I would appreciate some feedback as to the quality of the chrome and fit of the styling parts, not really concerned with prices but just want good quality. Thanks Alan
  6. Hi All , Has anyone treated their pride and joy to the F1 ceramic coating system.I have read some reviews and it is supposed to make the car look stunning as well as adding protection to the paintwork. It is guaranteed for about 5 years, I was quoted £350 for my XF from a company in Southampton so it is not cheap . Has any one had this done ? cheers Alan
  7. Hi Dave ,thanks for the reply,I will make it a priority and get it done before I reach 95k,piece of mind at least.Like yourself I had a belt go on a sierra some years back and I was doing about 30mph at the time and the car just stopped ,got a tow home and put a new belt on and lucky enough no damage done to the engine ( just as well it was the wifes car ! ) certainly not going to chance it with the XF. cheers Alan
  8. Hi Peter thanks for the reply and welcome, I will have to have a look round the site .I am very pleased with the XF and feel back in the fold.,I had an XJ6 3.2 in the 90s which was a nice car but im afraid I defected in 2006 and purchased a BMW 528i which was ok but I made the mistake of fitting 19 inch wheels and 235 x 35 x 19 tyres to them which was a bit low on profile, ruined the ride and I was going through a set of Dentures every 5000 miles with the state the roads. thanks again for the reply and welcome Alan
