Hi all, I took my X type off the road a couple months back and removed the battery. Last week I attempted to get it back on the road, I fully charged the battery but as soon as I connect the leads the door central locking starts locking and unlocking rapidly and constantly. When I put the key in the ignition the doors stop but when turning the key nothing happens apart from the hazard light on the dash light up. Can anyone shed any light on what may be wrong please? X-Type 2.5 V6 2004

Not really, it's seems like it's got a slight misfire. It doesn't seem long enough to reach any where other than the battery box!

Hi all, just doing some work on my 2.5 V6 and come across this wire that's not connected. Any ideas what it is and where it should be please?

Enter any code 3 times so that the display shows "PLEASE WAIT" Simultaneously press ">>" "PTY" "A.MEM" should only take 2 or 3 seconds and the radio turns on. Hope this helps and saves some one some money!! This works on my 2003 x type

I have now got a test gauge to check my compression. The plugs out of the suspect back were full of carbon. I have disconnected the fuel pump before I start and have read I need to disable to leads that go to the coil pack, where do I need to unplug these from I can't seem to find the end?

Hi all, lots of fault codes as you can see and a lack of power 0-60 in 15 secs, this is the 2.5 Indianapolis. Also a complete loss off power at 3500rpm, only seems to do this in third and forth gear when the engines hot. I imagine not all these fault codes are the issue but one of them is causing the problem and making them all show up?
