  1. Hi Guys My DPF (amber) warning light comes on shortly into any journey. I have only had the car 2 months and done some fairly long journeys in it (Scotland and back) and at first I thought it may be due to low battery and I have not used the Jag for a week or so. Along with the warning light there is a clicking noise from under the car when I pull up and a sooty smell so I am assuming I will need a demap, doe's this sound right! Dave
  2. Hi Jerry, Your Jag looks in great condition and it's a lovely colour, I too have recently purchased my first S type and absolutely love the drive and retro style, it's turning heads and I did not expect that ;) . Regards Dave
  3. No worries guys, I will take my Tom Tom when driving around town so as I can have music at low volume in the background, thanks for your help. Must admit this forum has already been very useful, paired my phone and contacts last night, easy as pie when you know how, LoL.
  4. Ha Ha, I can see it with my glasses on but then I cannot see the road B). At the end of the day and having only had my S type for 4 days I am amazed at the luxury and drive considering my one is 9 years old, love the shape, love the interior, once I settled down I found most of the controls easy to follow, great car, hopefully she will behave herself and if she does I will look after her properly :D
  5. Would if my eyes were not so bad these days Phil, Lol.
  6. Thank you for your replies guys. @Andy the tyre man. In my van I drive approx. 600 miles a week around London and the home counties. My independent sat nav guides me from street to street however spending so much time behind the wheel it is nice to have music or the radio playing in the background, what's the point in having in car entertainment if every 100 metres the radio is silenced and then 10 metres later comes back to life for 50 metres!. Thank you to the guys that said that this is how it works, when near town I will simply use my other sat nav, simple as that ;)
  7. Hi Phil. the sat nav in my van doesn't either :/
  8. Hi All I am new here and just purchased an 2006 S Type 2.7D SE. Still trying to get my head around the control however I am slowly getting there. Sat Nav was easy to operated however I have a question, the sat nav cuts out the radio / CD player when instructing on the route, can it be programmed to speak over the music?. Dave
