    S Type 2007 Lighter socket

    Why does it say in my handbook that the lighter socket should not be used to power anything other than the cigar lighter? I would like to use a small Black and Decker vacuum cleaner or should I buy a plug which fits the power socket in the arm rest?

    I have just bought a 2007 SType and there are no instructions for the touchscreen SAT NAV. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful, it's driving me bonkers. Cheers Bill
