  1. Peter, thanks very much for that. I'll try both over the next few days and let you know the outcome. I have managed to find other threads on this subject now and it does appear to be a common fault. The battery may be a contributory factor as during the winter months if i didn't start her for a couple of days i would get a low battery message on the warning screen
  2. Hi, apologies if this has already been posted and discussed, but I can't find info anywhere. I have a 2010 Jaguar XF and the drivers window is doing it's own thing! If i try and "one touch" the window to close, it travels half way up then back to the bottom. The only way i can get it to close is to "inch" it up slowly. Even doing it that way is hit and miss because if i go too far with the window, it hits the stop and then reopens fully. When the window is closed and i want to open it, the damn thing judders down a third of the way before opening fully! Does anyone know what the cause may be and probable cost for repair? Many thanks.

    Thanks Mark,
  4. Good evening everyone, I am hoping one of you kind folk can point me in the direction of a jag specialist who is local to me. I am based in Westhoughton, near Bolton Lancs and have no desire to go to the stealership, but I have an issue with my XF Windscreen Washer. Switch and wipers work fine but no water! Therefore need an auto electrician to look at it. I accept that it is quite subjective recommending someone but any help would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, Have a great Christmas everyone
  5. Hello everyone and thanks for allowing me to join. Have just bought an XF, and like a lot of people, wish I had done it a while ago. Have a great Christmas everyone

Good Morning Peter and many thanks for the warm welcome. Unfortunately I don't have an owners manual, However, have ordered one from eBay as you suggest. In the meantime, DOH!!!! I have found the dimmer switch which was under my nose all the time. I did say at the beginning about "dim". Well, that's a big difference. Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi everyone, many apologies if this has been asked previously or is tagged elsewhere, but I was wondering if someone could answer what I hope is a really simple question? I have only recently purchased a 2008 XF which I think is a fabulous car. But...........How on earth do I change the brightness on the Dashboard / Instruments? They are extremely dim, (probably like me, when I find out the answer) and I am struggling to see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks in advance
