2001 s type 3.0 v6 clutch change

Featured Replies

Hello , first post on the forum. I have bought a complete s type car 3.0 v6 manual which I have removed the engine and gear box to fit into my kit car project. I have noticed the rear crank oil seal is leaking so I will need to locate a new one but most of all the clutch is well used.

As I have the engine out I have planned to change the clutch and this is where I discovered a dual mass fly wheel.

I'm told this part should also be changed as the car has covered 82k ?

My model of s type is a earlier model been x reg 2001 and the clutch kit seams to be double the price of a 2003 onwards

Can anyone tell me the difference ?

As I said before the plan is to fit it all into a kit car, are there any other clutch options out there ie solid flywheel to fit get rag gear box,

Any info will be of use,

Mark
