Long-term effects of stop-start

Featured Replies

My XF has stop-start and for the 7 months I've had the car I've always used it. However, I wondered if there will be any long-term effects of using this on items like the turbo.

Most of my driving is motorway miles of 150+ miles per journey or on the odd occasion, towing the caravan.

Do any of you technical people out there have any views on this and has anyone had any problems so far caused by stop-start?

Thanks

No effect on the turbo's.

TSS (Twin Solenoid start) systems have no effect on the turbo. In Stop Strat driving, they are hardly spooling in most cases and long tern TSS testing has taken place
