Jaguar S Type .. AutoGearbox Conversion To Manual

Featured Replies

hi there guys aim looking to change my jaguar s type 3.0 v6 S year 2001 from auto to manual has any one done this conversion before i have the flywheel an clutch also pedal box an gearbox  could i have some more info before i take me car to bits thank you

i want manual due to me track days

Lot of work involved there James, not sure if I would want to take it on. Personally I would consider exchanging the car to the purchase of a manual rather than attempting the conversion. I had an Auto SL55 AMG which I used occasionally on track days however the car had the benefit of driving in normal auto mode or using the tiptronic for changing gears.

i agree with kenny a lot of work indeed also i take it when you say you have the clutch gearbox etc  it is a new one and not secondhand ? or did all of it  come from the same car even if it did , id still fit a new clutch kit if i was going ahead with this task.

regards ron
