Cruise Control say ON or OFF when I press the switch but nothing happens when I press SET.

At any speed.

2002 2.5 auto.

 

Haven't an answer to that Alan. I usually just press the + until I've reached the desired speed then press 'SET' I have not had any issues

Is your battery good? have you done any work recently on the car particularly near the steering column wiring, Also is your abs light on? A faulty reluctor ring can make cruise inop....

Hi, ABS and Wiring both fine, I'll health check the battery later. cheers

 

Battery checks out just fine.

 

When I press the set button I cam feel it try and pick up but doesn't lock in.

 

Still have this problem....

to add more info, The battery light stays off in normal running mode i.e cruise control off, when I set it to on the light intermittently comes on ???
