I have recently bought a 2002 sport. The air con didn't work, so I had it re-gassed. All was good, for a couple of weeks, then over night it stopped working. I've checked the fuse, and the low pressure, both are good. Has anyone any suggestions?

Did you have the air conditioning system pressure tested prior to being regassed? Many people through no fault of their own take their cars to garages offering deals on regassing however its common to find that they will not carry out a pressure test prior to gassing.

Good companies would pressure test first due to the fact the sealed system does not lose gas as a general rule without there being a leak from aged hoses etc therefore, it is necessary to establish where the gas is leaking from before considering replenishing. Due to the fact you have a 13 year old car and it was fine until recently suggests to me there is a leakage that requires a repair. The only method of finding the aforementioned leak is a pressure test. Good luck

Thanks Kenny. I don't know if they pressure tested it before they regassed it. But it wasn't working before, and was after. I've tested the low pressure system, and it is bang on 55psi, perfect. I assume that a leak on the high pressure side, would cause a drop in the low pressure. But I could be wrong.
