parking sensor help please

Was wondering if any of you guys could help please .i have have recently bought a x type diesel 2006 with front and rear sensors but unfortunatly do not work. I thought i had found the problem one of the front ones was faulty so have bought a replacement got it painted but still no luck.

When i turn parking sensors on i just get a flashing red light in roof console absolutely no sound whatsoever i have tried finding speaker but not luck and as its so shiny and new not keen on taking it apart with out any clue why or where ect any help would be appreciated
