Engine management

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 04' petrol v6 2.1 xtype & have this error on my system. The engine will not let me pass 3k rpm. I have changed the mass air flow sensor to no avail & im running out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated

thanks

Sounds like number 2 bank of cylinders are getting an additional supply of un-metered air? It could be anything from the manifold gasket failed to any fittings & pipes (not forgetting the brake booster pipe) on the manifold allowing air to be sucked in.You could try an none combustible liquid, Like liquid soap & water around gaskets and see if any is being sucked in? The only other thing I can think off is the exhaust sensor.
