Fan Stays On

Featured Replies

Hello I have recently brought the jaguar xtype SE 2.0D but the fan comes on straight away as soon as I start the engine and then when I turn engine off and remove key the fan turns off after about 5 secs now I have read the HAYNES manual and its pointing at either the temperature gauge or the cooling module but wanted to here what you guys think as you do all own jags and thank you in advance.

Hi, don't think it will be the gauge, but the temperature switch or the control module - given that the fans are still under control with ignition and timer then check out the temperature switch / sensor first. not sure where it is though , not had to find it on mine yet!

Thank you solar mike I'll get the gauge checked as it's the cheaper option to the module.
