Hello,

 I  am thinking of buying an older 1998-2001 Daimler Super V8, (I am told that the Jaguar sovereign is very similar. Is this so?)

 

I am trying to compile a list of pertinent questions to ask the sellers.

 

Can anybody tell me please, is there a recommended mileage in the Jaguar/Daimler handbook to change the timing chain/belt? Can I expect a Jag with 130,000 miles to have  had the timing chain and tensioners replaced?
