XF leather dash rippling

Featured Replies

Hi

just joined this site, to see if anyone else has this problem.

I have an 09 XF Portfolio, with 38K, on the clock. The car is immaculate and I am considering PX  for an F-type.

But just two weeks ago, after our one spell of hot weather, the adhesive under the dashboard leather has failed and caused rippling. Anyone else got this problem?

It's obviously a manufacturing fault and I'm trying to get a response from my local dealer. Surprisingly they don't seem interested, like they were when I showed an interest in an F-type.

Any helpful advice would be welcome

Hi Tony,

I had an XF and never encountered your problem.

However I've seen many postings of this problem in the US where it admittedly in certain states can get hotter.

The response from their Main Dealers was also poor.

Let us know how you get on.
