Having lost a childhood friend recently who loved his Jaguars, I now need some information, and in this mad world we now live in I have been unable to have this simple question answered!

I have contacted Jaguar UK, they gave me a contact that only carriers out body repairs, my question was regarding the engine, the other a main dealer informed me that the engine needed stripping to remove the damaged con rod, as if I did not know that.

My question is regarding an S type 2007 2.7 V6 Diesel, it's unfortunately ingested water into its air intake, and I suspect has bent a connecting rod.

I'am considering purchasing this vehicle, but need to know this simple question answered, can the connecting rod be removed on this model with the engine still in situe?

Hopefully one of your members can't answer my question before I go completely insane?
