Greetings: I am a long time (50 years) Jaguar owner/collector. I mainly focus on XKs though occasionally come across sedans. I recently purchased 3 sedans (1961 MKII, 1976 XJ12L, and 1990 XJ6 VP) from the estate of  a gent who owned a Jaguar restoration shop in Long Beach Cal. My inquiry concerns the XJ12L. This car is interesting in that it has apparently been converted from an automatic trans to a 4 speed (VIN ends in BW). While not my cup o' tea, the fact that it is a car in original paint and interior, runs and drives with low miles (78,000), makes me reluctant to simply dispose of it as a unloved 'used Jag' when it might well be the ;holy grail' for a XJ aficionado. I would like to discuss the car with any party 'into' XJs who might offer advice regarding best method to find the right home for the old girl. I can be reached a 1-562-431-1016 or [email protected].

Much thanks and best wishes to all.
