I have a friend who suggested I should add ZX1 Extralube to my 2.2 Diesel engine to help protect it,

has anyone used it or any info on this stuff.

I have done a bit of searching online about it, but I don't always believe what's on there.

Cheers

Jim

Hi they,Ive used oil additives for a year or so now without any issues,i did not have any problems but my engine has done 126k now, i have always done oil and filter changes every 5k,my oil was always nice and clean, but when very hot on idle my oil light flickered a few times so i went for the normal filter/oil change,my garage suggested using an additive as everything checked out ok,doing town driving, stop start just ran the engine a bit hotter,so i tried it, the oil light has not flickered at all since,i do a lot of long motorway driving down to Penzance/Plymouth from Burton on trent, the engine feels smooth, but now i also have the cold start protection,i will continue to use it i just can not remember the make they used, from my point of view £25 well spent,
