Hi guys, the glass hatch on my 55 2.0D sport has developed an annoying habit of opening when I turn the key in the ignition. I have to get out and close it, and then just to taunt me, sometimes it pops open again when I pull off. 

Common problem? Any quick fixes?

It will be the switch that has failed. It's a horrible bendy bit of plastic with nasty contacts. I had the same problem but replaced the original switch with a microswitch. This works much better and gives a better tactile feel. I used an old on/off switch from a junked PC so the cost was nil.
