Hiya chaps

choo choo here saying a big hello to fellow Jagpeeps.

Just purchased a 63 plate XF V6 Sportbreak, took it abroad through France to Spain had a great trip and matching holiday too, but the sat nav was playing up, we have been used to our trusty TomTom, but the inbuilt sat nav seem a bit sat naf compared, when offered the choice of 3 routes I cant zoom in to see exactly where we will be taken, anyone offer some help? am I doing something wrong? should I sell the XF and buy a Merc? (nah just joking)

Thanks.........

Hi Choo Choo.....welcome to the Club

I have read it here several times before that owners are dissatisfied with the SatNav and that its old school compared to a lot of other manufacturers' systems....maybe it is best to just run with a TomTom as easier to update as well.

There is a Road Trip section in the forum if you want to write a few words about your trip?

Cheers,  Trevor

I had mine serviced by Jaguar yesterday, the guy that collected my car got lost because the satnav in his XF took him on a tour of north Manchester. Seems like they're not that great... having said that the system in our Hyundai I40 Tourer is also pretty poor. I use the TomTom app on my phone. I feel like a lot of factory systems are fitted as box ticking exercises rather than being quality systems.
