I have glow plug warning light flashing n dash and my 2.2D xtype goes in to limp mode. i have just checked it by pluging in a handheld diagnostic machine and it comes up with code P0251 it then says pending 1/1 G  then it reads  Injection pump fuel metering control "A" 

( cam/ rotor/injector

any ideas what it all means please guys?

Had same problem with mine and it turned out to be the turbo. Replaced it and been fine since and that was 17,000 miles ago.

Hi Steve,

Worth asking Jaguar garage to check on their system first as I had mine checked by independent garage and they said it was the egr valve. they replaced the valve but the problem returned shortly afterwards. Dont know how much mine cost as the dealer I bought the car from paid for it.
