Good afternoon all,

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello!

I picked up a beautiful low-mileage 1998 XJ Sport 3.2 V8 at the weekend and feel I may need the help of some people on here as I work my way around the car.

Here is the car in all her glory - only 45,000 miles on the clock:

It's not my first Jag, I had a 1989 2.9 Sovereign about 10 years ago and we have had Jaguars in the family for a while - I have just sold a 2014 Jaguar XK and am sending a beautiful 2001 XKR convertible with only 29,000 miles on the to auction next weekend. We have also had an XJS coupe and my parents now have a fully restored 1968 Series 2 E-Type convertible over in Spain.

So far things haven't been too scary with the XJ, I have made a long list of replacement parts and pieces that need looking at and it's getting shorter every day but there are still a few issues that I am trying to get to the bottom of.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello, and I'm sure I'll be asking some questions and hopefully getting involved with the forum soon!
