Lost Kitten - Well Big Cat Really and Only Temporarily

Featured Replies

Help - Lost! But before anyone here has a go at me for being negligent I'm sorry OK?

Advancing years is my only excuse but, being in need of space in my garage for a DIY project, I moved my current S Type out into the cold the other day so that I could at least be a trifle warmer and not as wet as usual - in both senses - and paid no heed to the presentiments of doom posed to us hardy Brits by the imminent arrival of a little snow. When I got up this morning and checked outdoors I rapidly abandoned any thoughts of going outside and retired just as rapidly to a warm and comfy fireside. A couple of hours ago SWMBO pointed out that the log pile was looking rather depleted and that someone (guess who) needed to replenish the stack. So; on with the extra socks, boots, scarf, hat and waterproof coat and off goes I with a sack to the woodpile we keep next to the garage.

A nagging feeling that I had forgotten something descended as I approached the aforementioned garage but I could not quite put my finger on it until I quite literally bumped into my S Type. Now I may be losing some of my faculties but sight is not amongst them and I, like all of you, have heard that it can be difficult to find a White Cat in a Snowstorm but - I would not have expected the same fate to befall a Big Black Cat like mine.

My S Type, Black Bess, is now warm and comfy indoors you'll be pleased to know I hope. But only after lengthy and much perspiration inspiring efforts to get the garage doors open, to clear the DIY project, to clear the snow off Black Bess (nearly a foot deep up here), to clear the original layer of snow - plus that displaced from Black Bess - from the ground around her so that she could move without becoming a plow.

So, having done my best to atone for my bad behaviour with the second lady in my life I am now back beside that warm and comfy fireside.

Oops, judging by the look I'm getting from the first lady I've overlooked something............B*&&^r - forgot the firewood!:wallbash:
