Electrical issues

Featured Replies

Hi All,

i have a three fold electrical issue. I’m not sure if I have three problems or if they are all connected.

a) nsf headlamp dip beam goes off over a bump and comes back on soon after,

b) sometimes cruise control comes up not available,

c) when starting sometimes, engine cranks twice then acts as though battery flat.

With the first problem all connections, bulb and power ballast have been checked, no problem.

Cruise control not been investigated.

With the starting, the battery has been checked and has full power.

The car is a 2013 ‘63 plate XF R Sport 2.2 TD. 133000 miles full service history, never even smelled a non Jaguar dealer.

Thanks in advance of any info before a Jaguar diagnostic is booked.

Bill, Had a problem with my nsf light, but it stopped working completely. Turned out to be a corroded terminal in the junction box in the driverside footwell. Might be worth a look if you have the time.
