x type intercooler

hi just bought my first x type with 100.000 miles only drove it for 10 days driving home on 10th day almighty bang and loss of power managed to get it back home had a mechanic look at it and was quoted £200 to replace bottom hose.i got underneath myself and found it was only the clip that had failed managed to get the hose back on with anew clip took 3 hours to tighten the clip because of the position of the connection on the intercooler the only bad thing was i had to buy a new spanner but saved £195 which was better
