Front suspension, rear lower arm bush protrusion

Hi all,

I'm working on a 2.7 D S type sport's  front suspension rear lower arm and I have a question ref the protrusion of the large bush. Please see pic below showing the large dia bush in question..

One side of the bush protrudes further than the other..please see pics below...

I can't think of a reason why it should make a difference, but thought I would ask. Should I refit the bush as above or fit it with equal amounts of protrusion?

Hi Mark,

I have no idea myself but Lazlo Woodbine has done a lot of work on the suspension of his S Type and is something of a guru on this and other oily matters. Suggest you check out his posts on the suspension topic or get in touch with him direct if he hasn't covered the area of interest.
